Allegations haven't hurt Cain in polls

A fourth woman reportedly will accuse GOP presidential candidate Herman Cain today of having sexually harassed her when he was president of the National Restaurant Association in the 1990s. But so far, the allegations haven't hurt Cain among most Republicans. He remains neck-and-neck with Mitt Romney in the latest Washington Post/ABC News poll. Still, a Wall Street Journal editorial argued that the Cain campaign’s inept handling of the news – first blaming the media, then denying the claims as baseless, then acknowledging that he might have known something about the settlements, then blaming the leak on Rick Perry's campaign, then retracting that claim – raises as many concerns about his fitness for office as do the allegations.
