Greatest Wings players

I’m no Wings expert. I don’t even play one on television. I’m guessing I went to six or seven Wings games in my lifetime. If you know me, you know I have a thing about soccer.

But I’m kind of caught up in the Wings right now. One, because there’s a new Wings team in town, one that begins play Thursday night at Hartman Arena. And two, because I’ve interviewed several former Wings standouts during the past couple of days. My column tomorrow will deal with some of that Wings history as told through the eyes of Chico Borja and Roy Turner, one of the best players and the best coach in the franchise’s history.

I also interviewed a few other Wings players and will write about what some of them had to say about their experiences in Wichita later today.

For now, here’s my list of Top 10 Wings players of all-time. Of course, I got some help in putting this list together. And I’m only going to list nine players and allow you, my blog readers, to come up with the 10th. Sound good?
