Swiss operator VistaJet placed a firm order valued at $383 million for 18 Bombardier Aerospace business jets, including six Wichita-built Learjet 60XRs. The order also includes 12 Global and Challenger models.
Deliveries are scheduled to begin in 2012.
The purchase increases VistaJet’s fleet of planes to more than 50 and its order backlog to more than $1.3 billion. VistaJet operates only Bombardier aircraft.
VistaJet and Bombardier have been in discussions for several months, VistaJet officials said Tuesday.
