PPG Aerospace, which has an office in Wichita, will supply window systems for Hawker Beechcraft King Air 350i aircraft.
The windows, which use electrochromic technology, are dimmable, eliminating the need for conventional aircraft window shades, the company said. Electrochromics is the science of reversibly darkening materials using electricity.
PPG also provides heated, all-glass windshields for the King Air 350i. They’re built by the company in Huntsville, Ala.
