After leading Kansas State to victories over Nebraska and Iowa State, Jacob Pullen has been named Big 12 Player of the Week.
The senior guard averaged 19.5 points and seven assists during those two victories. He scored a team-high 18 points against the Cornhuskers while playing 39 minutes. Then he scored a team-best 21 points, including a game-winning layup, against the Cyclones.
“I’m real happy for him,” K-State coach Frank Martin said. “I think the Iowa State game was a perfect example of him not being at his best in the first half, but having the patience that upperclassmen have to stay the course and stay in the moment. He did that and then obviously had a real good second half and helped us win the game.”
Pullen is averaging 18.2 points per game. He is the Wildcats’ leading scorer and currently ranks fourth in the Big 12.
