GOP backed off on Sept. 11 responders bill

After being beaten up for days, even by Fox News, GOP senators cut a deal and dropped their filibuster of the Sept. 11 responders bill, which provides medical care to the emergency personnel at ground zero. As former GOP lawmaker and MSNBC host Joe Scarborough had noted: "This is one of those times when you get so wrapped up in the game that you forget to look and see what's happening. Here, the Republicans, whether they know it or not, look horrible."
