Track rules have become more lenient

Every track season there seems to be some heart-wrenching story about a kid who has been DQ’ed for a jewelry violation or some minor uniform issue. I have two feelings on these stories: hey, those are the rules and really? DQ’ed for a bobby pin violation that was pointed out after the competition ended?

But the National Federation of State High School Associations has decided to change the penalty a bit. Kudos to the NFHS. Check out the excerpt from the nfhs.org Web site.
