As much as an inch of rain is expected to fall in central Kansas by 9 a.m., and those showers are working their way east. Some of the showers will produce heavy rainfall, forecasters say.
Highs in the Wichita area should reach the mid-80s today, with overnight lows bottoming out at about 70. Highs on Thursday should again reach the low 80s, with more rain in the forecast.
