Number of 'birthers' is crazy

GOP 1st Congressional District candidate Tracey Mann lost several newspaper endorsements after he pandered to those who question President Obama's citizenship. But according to a new CNN/Opinion Research Corporation survey, the number of "birthers " is disturbingly large — particularly among Republicans. In the survey, 11 percent said Obama was definitely not born in the United States, and another 16 percent said he probably wasn't born in this country. Among Republicans, 41 percent think Obama definitely or probably was not born in the United States. Robert Schlesinger of U.S. News & World Report suggested that Obama's title be changed to "president of the United States of Crazy."
