Records fell around Kansas on Monday

Wichita wasn’t the only spot where records were matched or toppled on Monday, according to the National Weather Service.

Garden City tied its high temperature record of 105, previously set in 1964, and Concordia matched its record of 107 from 1930.

Topeka reached 106 on Monday, topping its old mark of 105 in 1964.

Other cities almost certainly set records as well, though they are not primary reporting stations for the weather service.
