WICHITA — The drama continues for Brandon Steven — and some drama it’s been.
The Wichita auto dealer is in 33rd place at the World Series of Poker with a chip count of $2,330,000. That compares to the leader, Theo Jorgensen of Copenhagen, with $9,300,000 in chips.
For a while last night, though, it looked as if Steven might be close to going out entirely. He not only hung in but rebounded, too.
Steven, who never wanted to talk about playing in the first place, isn’t answering calls just now. His father, Rod Steven, says he’s mostly getting text updates from his exhausted son.
