Not every bad act is anti-American

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., characterized the Republicans' stalling in bringing the financial reform bill to the Senate floor Wednesday as "anti-American." Sen. John Kerry, D-Mass., suggested the same day that Wall Street practices leading to the financial meltdown displayed a "lack of patriotism." Especially after anti-Iraq war Democrats saw their loyalty to country questioned by Republicans, why not criticize people for their conduct, without bringing patriotism into it?
