Today should be a more pleasant day for the Wichita area than Monday was, forecasters say.
Sunny skies will be the rule, with highs in the upper 60s and winds that will be less robust than yesterday. Those winds will be out of the north early in the day before shifting to the south. Gusts will top 20 miles an hour, but the breezes should primarily stay below 15 mph, forecasters say.
The low tonight will slip to the mid-40s, with light westerly winds. Wednesday is shaping up to be warmer and windier, with temperatures in the upper 70s and winds blowing steadily at about 25 miles an hour. Gusts are expected to reach 40 mph.
