Some Baseball talk (pitching)

I got a chance to cover Northwest at Goddard (my first taste of Kansas baseball) Tuesday night. There was plenty of offense in the 14-5 win. But I though Northwest pitcher Brandon Phillips turned in a solid night considering how big of a lead his team had entering the second inning. He threw six strikeouts in five innings of work and gave up five runs.

Goddard’s Zach Dougherty came out of the bull pen to pitch three hit-less innings for the Lions. He had three Ks and was charged one run in the seventh thanks to a HBP, two base on balls and a wild pitch. Overall he had a solid performance, as did Northwest reliever Ethan Chadick (two scoreless innings in the sixth and seventh).

So my question is…Who are the Top pitchers five pitchers (relievers or starters) in the Area and City League?

Let me know what you think.
