The European Aeronautic Defence and Space Co., or EADS is celebrating its 10th anniversary. The company was formed from a merger between the French Aerospatiale-Matra, the German DaimlerChrysler Aerospace and the Spanish CASA companies.
In 10 years, EADS revenues have risen 75 percent and the company has created 15,000 new jobs in Europe, the company said. Today, 119,000 employees work at more than 100 sites around the world. The company is planning celebrations for employees at the facilities, the company said.
