Report: EADS hasn't decided whether to bid on Air Force tanker

Airbus parent EADS hasn’t decided whether to go up against Boeing and bid on aerial refueling tankers for the U.S. Air Force, according to a report by Reuters.

It will not bid if it would lose money in the deal, EADS chief executive Louis Gallois, Reuters reports.

Gallois said the company is still talking with U.S. suppliers to form a partnership should it bid for the contract, the report said.

EADS’ former partner, Northrop Grumman, pulled out last month after saying the request for the proposal favored a smaller tanker and not the larger Airbus tanker.
