Pre-State Track meet at WSU

It’s a windy day out here, but it’s gorgeous weather and some awfully good track going on.

Some highlights from the day, so far, and I’m just hitting a few because the track awaits me.

*Lauren Pickens from Peabody-Burns won the 100 and 400 elite races, beating Andover Central’s Tiffany Bias in the 400. Bias pulled up with an injury and finished third.

*Morgan Burns, W. Trinity, won the 100 elite, which did not include Demarcus Robinson. But he beat Valley Center’s Joe Fisher. In the 400, though, it was Garden Plain’s Kurt Pauly, who edged Burns.

*Bishop Carroll’s Cara Detmer won the elite pole vault.

Now, it’s back to the track for me.
