Volvo Aero Services Corp., based in Boca Raton, Fla., will open a distribution and warehouse facility in Winfield, in a $1.67 million project.
The company provides aftermarket services for the aviation industry. The move will create at least four jobs averaging $30,000 a year, according to the Kansas Department of Commerce.
The distribution center is moving into 48,000 square feet of space in the former Binney & Smith building.
Volvo Aero Services offers asset management, logistics and aircraft engines leasing. The company is a distributor of materials for Embraer, Hamilton Sundstrand, Honeywell and Boeing Co.
