TOPEKA – The Tax Foundation announced that on Wednesday, April 7, Kansans will have earned enough to pay off their tax obligation.
That’s 97 days into the year and two days earlier than the national average. It is two weeks earlier then tax freedom day was in 2007, the non-profit group said.
Alaska and Louisiana have the earliest tax freedom days, on March 26, while Connecticut residents have the latest – theirs coming April 27th.
