Go ahead and linger outside a bit today, Wichita – after all those gray skies this winter, today’s sunshine will seem like a treat.
Temperatures in the mid-40s and light north winds are expected today in the metropolitan area, forecasters say. Wednesday will offer a second helping of the same conditions, though the light winds will be out of the south.
Lows tonight will drop to the low 20s. Clouds will begin to increase Thursday, and forecasters say chances of rain will arrive Thursday night and persist through the weekend.
But highs will gradually climb through the end of the week and may touch 60 by Sunday. If that happens, it’ll be the first time Wichita has seen a high in the 60s since late November.
