Tsu Basa and Emperor's Japanese Grill to open on the east side

WICHITA — Fans of Japanese cuisine will soon have two new restaurants to choose from on the east side.

Tsu Basa is opening next month in the former Mr. Goodcents Subs & Pasta space at Eastgate Plaza at Kellogg and Rock.

The 1,700-square-foot restaurant will seat about 55 and be open for lunch and dinner seven days a week.

Co-owner Hideo Hagen will offer traditional Japanese cuisine, including sushi, sashimi and Japanese-style noodles. There will be a full bar as well.

Emperor's Japanese Grill, which has been on the west side for almost five years, is opening a new east-side grill Jan. 22.
