Shalee Lehning is one of the best players to ever suit up for the Kansas State women’s basketball team. Her jersey hangs from the Bramlage Coliseum rafters and she plays for the Atlanta Dream of the WNBA.
Impressive to say the least. But if that weren’t enough, she is also now one of the Wildcats’ assistant coaches. Only a few months removed from her college playing days, she is ready to start teaching on the sidelines.
How excited are you to be back involved with the Kansas State women’s basketball team?
It’s just awesome. I love it. I’ve always taken pride in this university and this basketball program, so for me to be able to come back from the WNBA and get back into it was great. (more…)
