If Gov. Mark Parkinson (left) were running for his job in 2010 against Sen. Sam Brownback (right), R-Kan., who would win? The latest job approval numbers in the SurveyUSA poll, co-sponsored by KWCH, Channel 12, indicate that Brownback wouldn't have a walk. In the December poll, 45 percent approved of the job Parkinson is doing as governor, compared with 49 percent who approved of the job Brownback is doing in the U.S. Senate. Sen. Pat Roberts, R-Kan., rated higher than either Parkinson or Brownback in December, earning 54 percent approval.
