JuCo signing day

It’s national junior college signing day this beautiful Dec. 16, and I’ll be updating this post all day as I get the word from coaches about signings and commitments. Keep in mind, some players are still making visits so we won’t get everybody — but we should be off to a good start … I’m most interested to see if Jayhawk defensive player of the year Scott Smith signs today. The Butler defensive end and No. 4-ranked junior-college prospect in the country is reportedly torn between Arkansas and Texas Tech.

Update – Smith has chosen Texas Tech

And, as reported by our J. Brady McCollough, KU lost a commitment from Independence DB Dave Clark, the No. 39 recruit in the country, who has decided to re-open his recruitment after the Jayhawks’ coaching change.

In all, the Jayhawk had eight players in the top 50, and I’ve indicated who those players are by putting their ranking next to their names.
