Wind chills are in the single digits this morning, but forecasters say temperatures should climb all the way into the upper 40s under sunny skies today in the Wichita area – a dramatic improvement over the first half of the work week.
Southerly winds blowing steadily in the teens and gusting to almost 30 miles an hour will help lift temperatures for the next couple of days, forecasters say. Thursday should see highs almost reach 50 before another arctic front sends temperatures plunging and brings a chance of snow flurries Friday morning in Wichita.
The weekend is shaping up to be cold and dry.
