XC: Rim Rock Recollections, Retrospects & Reminisces

By Taylor Eldridge

I don’t claim to be all-knowing about the sport of cross country. In fact, I know very little about it. But one of the few things I do know about cross country in Kansas is that an almost heaven-like experience awaits those at Rim Rock. It’s crazy how much coaches, runners, parents, fans talk about that place. I’ve never been, but the way everybody talks about it I might be making a road trip to Lawrence this Saturday morning.

So I thought it would be interesting to sort of get the coaches from around the area to give their take on why the course at Rim Rock is so special. If you are going to read any of these, be sure to read Swords. His response was very nicely-written. Click the jump for an interesting read on Rim Rock.
