Inside the Game: Wellington 18, Andover Central 7

By Taylor Eldridge

Wellington made a pretty clear statement in this victory, its second of the season: they are for real. The offense racked up 400 yards of offense, the defense came up with three turnovers and the Crusaders are 2-0 on the season.

Wellington’s defense is what impressed me the most tonight. Especially in the first half where Andover Central had four drives enter Crusader territory, yet all four ended in no points. The Jaguars kind of shot themselves in the foot with some silly mistakes and that is to be expected with an inexperienced team.

But anyway, I had a long night in Wellington and I’m too tired to post much else. Might update it tomorrow. Enjoy the stats. If you want the play-by-play or anything, e-mail me at Thanks
