WICHITA – September arrives with another pleasant day for the Wichita area.
Highs will reach the upper 70s under mostly cloudy skies, forecasters say. Winds will be gusty out of the southeast, blowing steadily in the teens and occasionally touch 20 miles an hour.
Showers enter the forecast early Wednesday morning and remain possible into Friday. The storms will be scattered and some of them could be strong, with small hail and winds topping 50 mph.
Highs the rest of the work week in the Wichita area should be in the low 80s, forecasters say.
