Singer/passenger complains with music video after United breaks his guitar

A word to the airlines and other businesses for that matter: Be careful who you upset with poor service.

A music video called “United Breaks Guitars” is musician Dave Carroll’s satirical response to lack of satisfaction by United Airlines after his $3,500 Taylor guitar was broken on a flight he took with United Airlines.

Carroll wrote the song after what he outlines as an unsuccessful nine-month attempt to get reimbursed for damages — or at least free flight vouchers for the $1,500 it took to repair the instrument.

The video, posted three days ago on YouTube, has gained more than 1.35 million hits so far.
