WICHITA - Patchy fog and a bit of mist are possible in the Wichita metropolitan area this morning, and forecasters say scattered showers are expected later today.
Mostly cloudy skies with light breezes out of the north should persist throughout the day, with highs in the low 80s.
The strongest storms should be east of a Cottonwood Falls to Winfield line, forecasters say. Strong winds and large hail are the predominant threats, but “an isolated tornado can not be ruled out,” the National Weather Service warns.
Lows in the Wichita area should bottom out in the low 60s. Thursday should be partly sunny with highs around 80. A slight chance of showers persists through the weekend.
