WICHITA - Southern Kansas will get a break from the steamy heat of the past few days today, with highs in the upper 70s under partly sunny skies.
Northerly winds gusting above 20 miles an hour will keep the day fresh in the Wichita area, forecasters say. A slight chance of showers returns to the region after midnight tonight and lingers throughout the day Tuesday. Highs should be in the low 80s on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Showers and thunderstorms are possible most of the week, forecasters say.
