Cessna Aircraft said today that it plans to build a new European Citation Service Center at the Valencia Airport in Spain, culminating two years of research.
More than 1,000 Citation business jets are operating in Europe. The new center will complement Cessna’s center in Paris. Within the next six months, site planning development will begin, with specific construction plans to be announced.
In addition, Cessna said it will deliver the first Ukrainian-registered Citation business jet, a CJ3, to ACR Aero-Charter Airlines. It’s the first of four Citations ordered by ACR, based in Kiev.
Cessna also will deliver a Citation X to Saad Wallan, chairman of Wallan Aviation, based in Riyadh and Dubai, this month. It will be the sixth Citation X to be based in the Middle East. Wallan will use the jet to travel to his business interests in the Middle East, U.S., Europe and Asia.
Cessna also said today that it has reached an agreement with Bell Helicopter, its sister company, to use Bell’s European parts distribution center at the Amsterdam Airport Schipol to enhance parts distribution to Citation operators in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
