An international marketing manager from Koch Industries will become Wichita State University’s new chief marketing director starting Feb. 1.
The university named Shelly Coleman-Martins to the newly titled position of executive director of university marketing in Strategic Communications, WSU said in a statement Thursday. She replaces Barth Hague, who until October held the same position under the title of chief marketing officer and associate vice president for strategic communications.
Coleman-Martins’ responsibilities will including WSU’s branding, marketing and communications staff, according to the WSU statement.
Her current job is as international marketing manager for agriculture at Koch Agronomic Services. Her role there is to promote five brands across multiple countries and languages, working with a network of global marketing agencies, the WSU statement said.
Previous jobs include director of marketing for WSU’s Rhatigan Student Center, and director of creative services for the Coleman Co. before that company’s headquarters moved from Wichita to Denver.
