The crime

On Monday, Aug. 26, a resident in the 4500 block of South Brookhaven – near K-15 and 47th Street South – returned home and discovered during the morning hours, unknown suspects had forced entry through the rear door of the house. The interior of the home was left in disarray as the suspects rummaged through her belongings. During the investigation it was determined that multiple firearms, jewelry and electronics were taken. The suspects vandalized the interior of the house with gang-related and other graffiti before leaving.
