A man was fatally shot early Saturday morning in central Wichita, a Sedgwick County emergency dispatcher said.
The 911 call came in at 12:53 a.m., the dispatcher said, and Wichita police officers responded to a call from the 1200 block of North Wabash, near I-135 and 13th.
Wichita police Sgt. Troy Nedbalek said a female resident reported hearing several gunshots in the area.
“Officers circulating the area found a 30-year-old male lying in front of 1009 North Wabash in the street with multiple gunshot wounds,” Nedbalek said.
