Two men were arrested Monday after a road rage incident in south Wichita involved a gunshot being fired, police said Tuesday.
The incident happened about 12:40 p.m. in the intersection of 47th and Hyrdraulic when two men got out of their vehicles and fought, Lt. James Espinoza said..
A 62-year-old man then hit the other vehicle with a green pipe, breaking a tail light. A 30-year-old man responded by firing one shot from a handgun into the older man’s car, Espinoza said.
“It was road rage,” he said. “We’re still looking into what the altercation was about.”
The 62-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of criminal damage to property. The younger man was arrested on suspicion of aggravated assault with a firearm.
