A store clerk only needed to use the words to thwart a robbery attempt, Wichita police said Friday.
A man carrying a gun and with a scarf over his face entered the store in the 900 block of East Harry about 10:15 p.m. Thursday, Lt. James Espinoza said. He demanded money.
“He told the clerk that he had six children and needed the money,” Espinoza said. “The clerk responded by telling him that he shouldn’t have had so many kids.”
The suspect ran out of the store without any money.
