Wichita police are investigating a robbery that happened early Sunday morning at a convenience store west of downtown.
When officers arrived at Petro America in the 2800 block of West Central, a 22-year-old employee told them that two men, armed with handguns, approached him and demanded cash, cigarettes and cigars. Once they had the items, they fled the scene, according to Sgt. Bob Gulliver, spokesman with the Wichita Police Department.
The suspects have not been located. The employee was not injured.
