The man, whose name has not been released pending notification of family, was pronounced dead two hours after he was transported to a local hospital, according to a news release issued Monday by Sedgwick County Sheriff Jeff Easter.
The man is the third to die in Sedgwick County custody in 2015. An elderly inmate who was terminally ill died Jan. 21. A death on Feb. 22 was a 25-year-old man who had been receiving treatment for a medical issue.
