A two-car collision involving a Sedgwick County deputy is being investigated, a sheriff’s official said Wednesday.
Lt. Lin Dehning gave this account: Around noon Tuesday, a deputy was driving a patrol car east on Pawnee toward Hiram when a green Ford Focus pulled onto Pawnee from Hiram going north, to turn west.
The deputy swerved to avoid the car but hit the Focus and went south off of Pawnee, striking a fence and a ball diamond back stop, Dehning said.
Neither the deputy nor the other driver had serious injuries, he said.
