A Sedgwick County inmate was found dead in his cell Sunday, officials said.

The 51-year-old man was found unresponsive in his cell at the Detention Facility Medical Clinic, where he had been housed due to multiple chronic medical conditions, Sedgwick County sheriff's Lt. Tim Myers said in a release. The man was pronounced dead at 4:36 p.m.

The inmate had a do not resuscitate order on file, the release said.

The man had been booked into jail in January 2017 and was serving a commitment on a felony case, the release said. He was not identified in the release.
