A person chasing a thief from a gas station was hit by a car Sunday, sustaining non-life-threatening injuries, police say.
An employee at the Valero gas station on the corner of McCormick and Meridian said a person had their wallet stolen inside the gas station. Police say the person tried to confront the thief on foot and was hit by a car on Walker Street, near St. Clair, about four blocks from the gas station.
Police say it is unclear whether the person driving the car was the thief, and that there are no suspects .
Police cars blocked off part of Walker Street on Sunday afternoon, where there appeared to be a pool of blood, a shoe, an article of clothing, and broken plastic in the street.

Police said it is possible that the person was hit by multiple cars.
Police said a car parked on the corner of Walker Street and St. Clair was involved in the incident. The car appeared to have been hit by another car and and there appeared to be blood on the back of the car.
