Armed with a glass bottle, man robs a Wichita convenience store

A man who was armed with a glass bottle robbed a convenience store in east Wichita early Monday morning.

At about 6:20 a.m. on Monday, police responded to the robbery at Presto Convenience Store, 1350 N. Oliver. When officers arrived, an employee said the unknown man entered the store and demanded money, Officer Charley Davidson said.

Money was taken by the man, who then ran from the business. No injuries were reported.

Police described the robber as an unknown black man, about 50 years old and 6 feet tall with a medium build. He was wearing a navy jacket, yellow shirt, brown scarf and white gloves.
