Five teenagers were arrested Monday afternoon after a city employee saw them rob a pizza delivery driver at gunpoint, Wichita police said.

The 39-year-old woman told officers she was delivering pizza, wings and a 2-liter to a home in the 800 block of South Terrace at around 1 p.m. Monday.

She was approached by two teenagers. One allegedly pulled out a firearm and they took the food, drink and money, Officer Charley Davidson said.

The two left and were seen meeting up with other people in the area, he said.

The woman drove a block away and called 911 from the 4500 block of East Bailey.

A nearby Public Works employee, who witnessed the robbery, saw the men go into a home in the 800 block of South Terrace.

Police went there and arrested four 16-year-old boys and one 17-year-old boy on suspicion of weapons, drug and robbery charges, Davidson said.
