A “small amount of cash” was taken by a man at the 1112 W. Douglas QuikTrip early Saturday morning, according to Wichita Police.
A man entered the store around 1:40 a.m. Saturday, went to the clerk at the register and showed a small handgun before demanding cash, according to Sgt. Roger Runft.
The clerk complied and the man ran toward the northwest from the scene. Officers arrived quickly, Runft said, but did not locate the suspect. No injuries were reported.
Police are questioning three witnesses who were inside the store at the time and are reviewing surveillance footage of the robbery, Runft said.
The suspect is about 6 feet tall, 240 pounds and was wearing green pants and a green jacket with a purple mask over his face.
