A fight that erupted during a large party culminated in gunfire that wounded two people - one of them critically - late Friday night, police say.
The party was in the 2200 block of North Grove, Officer Paul Cruz said. Two groups at the party began fighting and during the disturbance several shots were fired.
Someone called 911 at about 10:30 p.m., Cruz said, and officers arrived to find a 73-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his abdomen. He was taken to a hospital in critical condition, but on Saturday had been upgraded to stable condition.
A 33-year-old man was shot in the foot during the disturbance, Cruz said, and a 54-year-old woman suffered a cut on her arm. Those injuries are not critical, he said.
Police are looking for two unknown men, Cruz said.
