Police arrested a man accused of shooting two people after a fight involving fruit snacks Saturday night.

Tyler Wayne Lyon, 25, was arrested on suspicion of aggravated battery, aggravated endangering a child and criminal possession of a firearm by a felon, according to a Sedgwick County Jail booking report.

He was taken into custody just before 5 p.m. Monday and is being held on $50,000 bond, according to jail records.

The fight happened at around 9 p.m. at Ashley Lane Apartments, 2250 S. Oliver. It initially started over fruit snacks, but other things came up between Lyon and his 23-year-old brother, Wichita police Officer Charley Davidson said Monday.

Lyon is accused of hitting his brother in the head with a handgun. It discharged once, hitting the 23-year-old in the shoulder and a 36-year-old man in his leg, Davidson said.

Both men had minor, non-life-threatening injuries.
