Police asking for help in Sunday robbery

Wichita police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred in east Wichita early Sunday.

Police were dispatched to the Circle K convenience store in the 2100 block of north Rock Road at 5:30 a.m. Sunday, according to Officer Charley Davidson, spokesman for the Wichita Police Department.

When police arrived at the store, they found two employees who said an unknown man had entered the store armed with a handgun and demanded money. Cigarettes and cash were taken and the man fled on foot.

No injuries were reported during the robbery.
