A man was arrested during a disturbance in a business parking in west Wichita on Thursday, according police.
Sgt. Bill Stevens said a call about a domestic disturbance came in shortly after noon. A fight, Stevens said, occurred in the parking lot of the Barney’s Pharmacy & Grocery store in the 3100 block of West Central.
While the officer tried arresting the man, he resisted and knocked the officer to the ground, Stevens said. The officer received minor injures from cuts and was treated on the scene, Stevens said.
The businesses in the plaza remained open while police investigated.
