A Wichita man pleaded no contest Monday to three felony charges that accused him of furnishing alcohol to a 13-year-old girl and trying to sexually molest her.
Andrew Headding, 24, will be sentenced March 28 on charges of aggravated indecent solicitation of a child, attempted aggravated indecent solicitation and furnishing alcohol to a minor.
In court papers, prosecutors said Headding was staying at the home of a friend in October 2012 when he took the girl to the basement after everybody else had gone to sleep, then forced her to drink vodka and play a “dirty” card game. Prosecutors said he then made her remove her clothes and molested her. Prosecutors said a second incident involved the same girl and occurred a month later.
In a pre-trial motion, Headding’s lawyer sought to introduce polygraph evidence that showed his client was telling the truth when he denied molesting the girl.

In another pre-trial motion, prosecutors sought to introduce evidence that Headding raped a 13-year-old girl in Hill City in January 2009, and that he took indecent liberties with three other girls, ages 6 through 10, while dating their mother in 2011.
Those motions were dismissed after Headding entered the no-contest pleas.
